KTB

KTB (aka Katy Bennett), was a finalist in this year’s BBC Young Folk Musician of the Year Awards. Now twenty, and performing since she was about ten, Katy cites her influences as Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Kathryn Williams, Nick Drake, The Guthries, Patsy Cline, Ella Fitzgerald, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci and K. D. Lang. There's also a nod to Kevin Ayers and Michelle Shocked in her material and delivery, which is an interesting crossover between folk and jazz.

Her CD "All Calm In Dreamland" was produced by her brother Joe, of the band Goldrush, and includes G and Garo from Goldrush , Heulwen and Siriol Davies (a crazy pair of singing Welsh twins) and two real jazz musicians; Will Bartlett on dirty Rhodes and Tom Bennet on double bass.
