This superb delta style blues singer/guitarist is accompanied by Richie Robertson on upright bass. Dick Wardell is from Dorchester and plays a range of superb delta style blues by the likes of Lonnie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Lightnin' Hopkins and Mississippi John Hurt. His style can at times be very reminiscent of the playing of Charlie Patton, and his repertoire runs from numbers from the 1920's, through to the 1940's with unique arrangements of traditional numbers such as "Trouble In Mind". He's also a master of the slide guitar style. Dick also features his own compositions, some drawn from his great CD, 'Peaches'.
