Southampton based sax player Ronnie Taylor played over 350 shows with the
soul band The Globe Show, backing top artistes such as Ben E. King, Patti La
Belle, Joe Tex and Jimmy Ruffin. He also shared the stage with artistes as
diverse as Little Richard and Tom Jones, before joining The Jess Roden Band
together with another well known Southampton bluesman, guitarist Bruce
Roberts.
Later, in 1992 Ronnie teamed up with singer & guitarist John F. Wands and
built up a strong following in the Southampton area. John F. Wands has been
part of the blues scene for over 25 years, touring and playing with numerous
bands, as well as releasing three solo albums.
"Ronnie & Johnny", as they're affectionately known, play their first gig at
The Bullfrog Blues & Roots Clubm South Parade Pier, ons Thursday, 20th
June.
