IAN PARKER BAND

Whilst serving his apprenticeship on the European Blues/Rock circuit Ian worked alongside Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Walter Trout and Peter Green. Walter Trout comments "The best band I've seen in a decade - Ian's voice, feel and guitar technique are what his contemporaries can only dream of!"

Ian Parker is a genuinely literate songwriter , an original artist rooted in the blues but not trapped in them. He offers something for everyone - blues, roots, soul, gospel, funk and even a touch of jazz. He's blessed with a truly distinctive voice and an inspirational guitar technique.

Ian signed to Ruf Records following a personal introduction to legendary US record producer - David Z, the producer for Prince. In the sleevenotes to the resulting album David Z wrote "I was truly honoured to be involved in this project"

In 1998, Ian Parker formed Parker's Alibi, who established a reputation across the European circuit, as one of the UK's hottest Blues prospects, but by the end of 2001, Ian felt the time had come to move on, and he disbanded the band in February 2002. He settled on a line-up including ex-Robert Plant drummer Andy Edwards, bass virtuoso Steve Amadeo, and Morg Morgan on keyboards to form The Ian Parker Band, which he launched with great success in November 2002, including opening a London show for Eric Clapton in December 2002.

At the end of 2003 Wayne Proctor (formerly with Aynsley Lister & Amor) replaced Andy Edwards on drums, and shortly after the band opened yet another show for Eric Clapton. Ian's ever-expanding itinerary now includes many of the major European festivals as well as regular dates at notable venues such as the internationally renowned `Ronnie Scott's' and Germany's leading music TV show, Rockpalast.
