Joe Hollywood (his real name) is a sensational 17 year old guitarist and
songwriter from South West London. Playing guitar, bass and drums from the age
of 7, Joe and his band of professional musicians has gigged regularly in London
and Surrey, with recent appearances at clubs and festivals in Scandinavia.
Joe's influences are Django Reinhardt, Hubert Sumlin, Jeff Beck, Jimi
Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Blind Willie McTell, Robert Johnson, and Mississippi Fred
McDowell.
About 50% of Joe's live gig music is self-written. Joe is a (grade 8)
qualified plectrum guitar teacher, teaches bass and also plays drums and keyboards.
Other members of The Joe Hollywood Band band are "Funky" George Dare on
drums, a professionalsession musician and teacher for 18 years, and "Foxy" on
bass, a professional and session for 15 years, who also plays for Breakout Blues
Band.
Other guest musicians often include John O'Leary on harmonica, (the
co-founder of Savoy Brown Blues Band),, Rob Millis on Hammond keyboards, (from Blues
Patrol)
Simon Taylor on saxophones, and Guy Watson on drums (ex-Rick Parfitt Band)
