The Greenhill Boys
Apperances:
- P.A.M.S at The City Bar, Guildhall Square, Wednesday 21st August.
The Greenhill Boys are a band, of sorts. From the wilds of West Sussex,
they're a bluegrass response to the Keystone Cops. Purveyors of British
bluegrass and
good-time music, they present themselves for your enjoyment. From right to
left:
- Dapper Dan Dyer, 5 string banjo. A southern gentleman, all round polymath and
translator of tongues. Wreckless Wreg Daniels, guitar and lead vocals. A
speaker in
tongues.
- Funkin' Duncan Millington-Pratt, bull-fiddle strangler and
patisserie.
- Curly
Bob Turner, mandolin and Big Red Engine. A musician, fireman and bantam
breeder.
- Professor Andrew Perry plays upon the Dobro (yes it's played with a slide,
but it isn't
a slide guitar - right ?) The professor may also be seen playing upon the
mandolin and
guitars and occasionally takes the vocal lead.
