AMOR

Amor is the brainchild of ex Hoax guitarist Jon Amor. Always a big favourite at the Bullfrog Blues Club, this band just get better and better. New percussionist Jamie Little has added a jazzy quality, whislt Mark 'The Saint' Evans is now a vital part of their sound, contributing subtle rhythm effects and some sweet lead breaks to compliment Jon Amor's superb axe work. Matt Beable's bass, knits rhythm and melody, another essential ingredient. They have one of the best back catalogues of any band around and revisit it with relish, making familiar numbers sound like new songs. It's nice to see this sort of progress in an already good band and Amor made quite a splash when they supported Buddy Guy on a recent European tour.
