Well, after a superb first gig of the year with the fabulous Thomas Heppall Band we're keeping up the pressure and are delighted to invite our old pal JON AMOR and his band back to The Bullfrog Blues Club on THURSDAY 6th FEBRUARY . Jon Amor made his name as a guitar player with the Davey brothers in legendary UK blues band The Hoax in the 90's, who released their first album in 1996. However, Jon soon established himself as not only a brilliant guitarist but also a fine singer/songwriter, releasing a string of highly acclaimed solo albums, and his own band - simply called Amor - had many sell out gigs at The Bullfrog Blues Club when were based on South Parade Pier. Indeed, their farewell performance drew a record crowd, and was even bootlegged (entitled "No More Amor") by a fan who distributed it for free to the chosen few. Initially heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jon's been nominated numerous times for `Guitarist Of The Year' awards, and he's recorded with Robert Plant and has played guitar alongside Buddy Guy, Van Morrison, Billy Bragg and many more. I seem to be saying this every month, but.... make sure you don't miss what will be a superb gig!!!!
