THOMAS HEPPELL BAND - live at The Bullfrog Blues Club, Thursday 2nd January, 2025 Here's hoping you all had a very happy Christmas, and that 2025 will be a great year for us all! It certainly will be for The Bullfrog Blues Club in Southsea, as we enter our TWENTY FIFTH year ! To quote The Grateful Dead - "the music never stops"! To ensure we hit the ground running in our silver anniversary year, on Thursday 2nd January, 2025 we have the brilliant THOMAS HEPPELL BAND at The Bullfrog Blues Club, adding to the other iconic venues across the nation that he's already played. With a style encapsulating the heart of the blues, the energy of rock & roll, and the sophistication of jazz, Thomas can command a solo stage or drive the rhythm in his dynamic three-piece ensemble. At The Bullfrog he'll be with his band, so be prepared for a full octane gig! Thomas has shared the stage with Albert Lee, Chickenshack, Dan Patlansky, The Cinelli Brothers, Elles Bailey, Robin Bibi and many, many more. He's left his mark at many top venues and events including Ronnie Scott's, The 100 Club, Pizza Express Live, Brixton Blues Kitchen, The 1865, The Tuesday Night Club at Coulsdon, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Temperance, Swanage Blues Festival, The RamJam at Kingston, The Bedford in Balham, Ritzy Cinema and Weyfest to name but a few. In 2022, Thomas's debut solo EP, 'Be My Home', not only received heavy rotation from Jazz FM (Blues and Boogie - David Freeman) and Blues Radio UK (Richard Dunning - Chairman of Blues UK Federation), but also secured him no less than three nominations at the UK Blues Awards 2023 - "Best Young Blues Artist", "Best Emerging Blues Artist" and "Best Acoustic Blues Artist" where he came in fifth.
