Sons Of The Delta - Bullfrog Blues Club - Thursday 6th April

We're very excited to have SONS OF THE DELTA back  at The Bullfrog Blues
Club on Thursday 6th April . The band have become Bullfrog favourites since
headlining the blues day at The Southsea Folk & Roots Festival on South
Parade Pier well over twelve years ago, so we're very much looking forward
to what is bound to be a great night.

Advance tickets available online from
https://webplus.barkingspider.abelgratis.com/

Sons of the Delta were formed by two of the top bluesmen in  South West
England, Mark Cole and Rick Edwards. Mark is a powerful, passionate
vocalist, who also plays a pretty mean harp, slide and rhythm guitar, whist
Rick is a talented multi-style guitarist who delivers superb deep-south
acoustic/electric guitar and vocals. They play a no-nonsense blend of
electric and acoustic blues which includes traditional blues plus new
originals. Their music also features occasional sidesteps into other
American roots styles such as gospel, hillbilly, bluegrass, Cajun and
Texmex.

During a visit to Clarksdale, Mississippi, they played at a number of clubs
and juke joints including Morgan Freeman's club 'Ground Zero', and recorded
a CD at Jimbo Mathus's recording studio, Delta Recording. Guest musicians
on the CD included legendary bluesmen Sam Carr and Pinetop Perkins. On
another occasion  they  played on the prestigious Emerging Artist stage at
the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival in Helena, Arkansas.
