Something different for The Bullfrog Blues Club in Southsea this Thursday 1st September! Li'l Jim is -despite his name - 6 foot 5 inches tall.. He's also an award winning, multi instrumentalist one man band, and plays a wide range of amazing music, including zydeco, cajun and swamp music. I saw him on the mainstage at Fairport Convention's Cropredy Festival in 2019 and was absolutely blown away by his dynamic and irrepressible playing. Somehow, Li'l Jim seamlessly ties the roots of swamp music, blues and traditional music with fresh modern arrangements and quirky hooks. By combining guitar, harmonica and accordion with vocals and foot percussion Li'l Jim creates a fresh sound of unstoppable rhythm and unrelenting melody, and his showmanship is nothing less than outstanding . . Apart from playing Cropredy,. Li'l Jim has supported Hayseed Dixie, Paul Jones and Midge Ure, and apart from Cropredy Festival has performed standout shows including Leek Blues and Americana Festival and Acoustic Festival of Britain.Li'l Jim is fast becoming the must-see act on the festival and touring circuit, so this gig is not to be missed!!!!!
