Thursday 4th November at THE BULLFROG BLUES CLUB - STOMPIN' DAVE'S BLUES 3 Next up at The Bullfrog Blues Club at the Dockyard Club, Onslow Rd, Southsea, PO5 2NH- after cancellations and postponements due to "you-know-what" (the OTHER "C" word") at last, the eagerly awaited return of STOMPIN' DAVE'S BLUES 3. Advance tickets are available via Paypal advance from our website - www.barkingspider.abelgratis.com or in person (cash only) from Street Level Music, 139 Albert Rd, Southsea, Hampshire, PO5 2SQ. Tickets are just £8 advance or £10 on the door, if available. Doors open at 8 p.m. The band consists of three of the UK's top blues and roots musicians - Sam Kelly, Earl Jackson, and of course, Stompin' Dave Allen. STOMPIN' DAVE has over twenty five years of professional performing experience across the UK and USA, including major festivals such as Glastonbury, where he's been invited back numerous times. A former member of former UK blues band of the year The Producers, Dave was nominated for a British Blues Award 2014. SAM KELLY has been voted into "Blues In Britain" magazine Gallery of the Greats as a five-times winner of the UK Drummer of the Year award. Sam was awarded first place in the drummer category for "Blues Matters" writer's Poll 2014, and named runner up in the British Blues Awards 2016. He's performed with Dr. John, Ben E. King, Robert Plant, Gary Moore , Michelle Shocked, Paul Jones, Imelda May, Andy Fairweather Low, and many more. EARL JACKSON is a well known figure on the European and British blues and rock n' roll circuits. He's appeared on BBC radio and TV, including the Jonathan Ross Show, and won "Best Blues Singer" award in the Jools Holland Music Awards 2017. The trio's debut CD "Space Blues" was described by "Blues In The South" as "a new arrow to Dave's already bulging quiver", whilst "Blues Matters" reported that their t "The Mayfair Studio" (CD) "shows Dave is a multi talented artist, and it is well worth checking out". And of course, we were honoured that Stompin' Dave and Sam Kelly have released a duo CD entitled "Live At The Bullfrog Blues Club"!!!!
