A message from DAVE SAUNDERS of THE PRODUCERS re their Bullfrog Blues Club gig on Thursday 7th April, on their 25th ANNIVERSARY TOUR... Just a quick reminder that one of the UKs top blues bands are playing near you on 7th April! Advance tickets are advised - IT WILL BE BUSY! Hope to see you there! This friendly little blues club always gets a good turn out when The Producers are in town and It's been a year now since we played this club last, so we hope to see the regulars plus our loyal Hampshire fans here too! The year The Producers, one of the UKs top blues bands celebrate their 25th anniversary! Where does the time go? During that time they have had varying members on drums, guitars, harmonica and keyboards supporting the central Producers core of band founders - guitarist Harry Skinner and bassist Dave Saunders. They have released ten albums ( firstly on Cassette before CDs were invented, with the last 'London Blues' being on both CD and double vinyl LP!). They've had many guests appearing with them, including Jethro Tull's Martin Barre, Dave Kelly, The Groundhogs' Tony McPhee, Andy Fairweather Low and the brass section of the Ray Charles Orchestra - including the Raelets! They have travelled to Australia, New Zealand, the USA, the Bahamas, and all over the UK and most of Europe, and played at or headlined most of the major blues festivals in the UK, Ireland and Europe plus the Tauranga Jazz and Blues Festival in New Zealand, Freeport Blues Festival, the Bahamas and the Atlanta Blues Festival USA earning a formidable live reputation. It will also be your chance to buy the new CDs which are ONLY available on the live gigs. Both of the new albums have been raved about, the Producers '25 Years' features some brand new tracks and a bunch of classic covers they've played over the last 25 years but never recorded and takes the band back to their original british R'n'B roots. The CD 'With a Little Help From My Friends' is a compilation featuring Dave Saunders playing with some of the great acts he's appeared with over the years including the Rolling Drunks, Stomping Dave, Bill Sheffield and others plus 2 stomping live tracks from The Producers WHICH WERE RECORDED AT THE BULLFROG BLUES CLUB LAST YEAR - IF YOU WERE HERE YOU MAY EVEN BE ON THEM!.
