This Thursday , 3rd March, Bullfrog Blues Club are delighted to welcome back Derrin Naendorf, an old friend who first played at The Bullfrog more than 12 years ago, and also featured at Southsea Folk Roots & Blues Festival. Always a superb player, over the past decade Derrin Naendorf has solidified his reputation even more as a singer, acoustic guitar player and songwriter of very high order. Derrin is one of the busiest artists on the acoustic scene in many parts of the world, forging a sound comprising of incredible guitar skills, soulful vocals and powerful songs and lyrics - the lyrics to his song "Shipwrecked" were published in a text book for English literature by Cambridge University Press. Over the years Derrin's also featured in session on the Bob Harris and Paul Jones shows on BBC radio 2, Tros Musik Cafe in Holland and Triple J radio in Australia. Derrin's just released his 10th album, entitled "Crazy World". Derrin says "I had built much of my career around my live solo show, but realised for some reason I'd never recorded a primarily solo studio album. I wanted to rectify this. I spent vast amounts of time on the arrangements to make the album as interesting as possible. I was desperate for it not to be a boring solo album. It had to have a purpose, and take people on a journey. On top of extensive tours planned across the UK, Germany and Southern Europe in 2016, next month sees Derrin embarking on his debut tour of Russia Derrin is endorsed by Yamaha guitars.
