ROBIN BIBI is one of the UK's top blues/rock guitarists and having paid his dues working with such names as Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Ben.E.King, The Pretty Things and Helen Shapiro. He launched the Robin Bibi Band in the late '90s. Blues, Funk, Rock, Reggae (occasionally!) and Jazz/Fusion are all rolled together in the band's own totally unique feel-good concoction. Above all, their aim is to give their audience a night to remember whilst guaranteeing the best British Blues Rock can offer in a tried and tested, exciting, spontaneous, power trio format with the highest level of musicianship the style can offer. The tried and tested trio format gives each member the space to stretch out and express themselves musically. It's exuberant passionate, dynamic, exciting and fun, played straight from the heart. Their music reaches out to young and old alike and audiences always leave a Robin Bibi gig smiling! Robin Bibi Band are now one of the busiest bands round the Southern music venue circuit and have played most of the major Blues festivals in the UK, such as Colne, Burnley, Maryport, Ashburton,Swanage,Blues on the Farm, Ealing Blues Festival etc ,Blues on the Bay and Harvest Time Blues in Ireland, and several Festivals in Europe and Scandanavia. Robin has now made his debut in the USA playing successful shows in Atlanta, Alabama and Muscle Shoals.. Robin has released nine superb albums. The debut, "Blue Thrash Therapy",was released in 1997 and quickly sold out leading to several re-releases. The follow up, released in 2000, "Language Of Your Soul" immediately recieved airplay on Paul Jones' jazz fm show "Jazz Me Blues" .. The limited edition album "Live At The Oval" featured Robin with Alan Glen, one of the UK's finest harmomica players and an ex member of both The Yardbirds and Nine Below Zero. Work is well underway on Robin's tenth album - a new studio album featuring totally new original material and guest appearnces from some of the UK's top horn players...and a deal is in the offing that will give the Robin Bibi Band worldwide digital distribution.. Following Robin's live shows in Georgia and Alabama in 2012 and 2014, Robin recorded an EP at the legendary Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the studio where legends such as Aretha Franklin , Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding , Clarence Carter and Arthur Conley recorded their biggest hits. "Bibi At Muscle Shoals" has recieved critical acclaim and will be avaialble at The Bullfrog! . Robin has been nominated in the British Blues awards for guitar and together with his some tiime partner Tony Marten Robin was nominated for best acoustic act. Robin has recently won an award for Best Guitar Solo from the WRC - beating solos by Joe Bonamassa and Richie Sambora!
