HAPPY NEW YEAR to all our Bullfrog Blues Club regulars - and also the "not so" regulars! This Thursday 5th January we present our first gig of the year - the fabulous ROBIN BIBI BAND!!!! I'm coming over from my home in Ireland especially for the gig, so no excuses from the rest of you! Robin's doing a "gig of two halves", as one set will be his superb tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan. For those of you who don't know about Robin (where have you BEEN?) he was a ember of The Pretty Things, played with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page and many any others. A superb gutarist, a fine singer, and a great showman! Club (a.k.a.The Dockyard Club), nslow Rd, Southsea, PO5 2NH, where you can collect your tickets on the day of he gig - doors open at 8 p.m. The N.B.E.C.S.A. Club is a great 150 + capacity venue, with a well stocked bar at club prices. It’s only two minutes (around 700 yards) from our old venue, South Parade Pier. Using the Pier as a starting point.... ead west on South Parade, and after less than 100 yards take the first right nto Clarendon Rd. fter a short while you’ll come to a roundabout. o straight on (Burgoyne Road is on the left, Waverley Rd on the right - there’s night club on the corner). fter about 500 yards Onslow Rd is on the left. he N.B.E.C.S.A. Club is in Onslow Road, about 50 yards on the right. Here's the other artistes we have booked so far for 2012.......... Thurs 2.2.12 TONY DOWLER'S HELLHOUNDS - featuring Tony Dowler on lead guitar and ocals, with Dave Burns (bass)& Steve Tansley (drums), both ex-members of Sinnerboy. hurs 1.3.12 SONS OF THE DELTA - no introduction need to these guys! Just fter this gig Mark & Rick are playing at Clarksdale Blues Festival in Mississippi(again!) hurs 5.4.12 WATERMELON SLIM - a true "one off", this guy is VEREY special - if ou like Seasick Steve, Watermelon Slim is definitely for you! We are very, very ucky to have managed to book this guy. hurs 10.5.12 SINNERBOY - Barry Barnes and the guys perform an evening of the usic of Rory Gallagher - with a new line-up; just to keep things fresh!
