"Mandolin" Pete Clark, the founder member of both The Motherfolkers and An Seisiun, is coming back to Portsmouth for a few days from his home in County Galway, Ireland, and on Wednesday 22nd February he'll be fronting The Moonshine Mothers at the RMA Tavern, Cromwell Rd., Eastney. Don't expect and evening of purely Celtic rock or trad Irish music like the The Motherfolkers and An Seisiun used to play - The Moonshine Mothers will be playing Americana - including rock, blues, bluegrass and hillbilly music, althought hey may be re-working some of the old Motherfolkers material but taking it in a new direction. Pete will be joined by joined by two ex-Motherfolkers/An Seisiun members - Greg the master bassist, and Graham "lightnin' fingers" Jones on acoustic and electric axes. These guys are also ex members of Skynny Lennard. Rockin' vocals and cool guitar will be supplied by the magnificent Al Dominey. Expect to see Pete on mandolin as usual, but also providing some tasty licks on the slide guitar Not to be missed! The Moonshine Mothers appear on Wednesday 22nd February at the RMA Tavern, Cromwell Rd., Eastney. Entry is FREE- the fun starts at around 8.30 p.m
