"And now for something completely different"............... The amazing Ash Mandrake - who recently opened for Barry "The Fish" Melton in Glastonbury - is at The R.M.A. Saturday evening- and admission is FREE!!! Ash Mandrake plays true psychedelic bardic folk - and all points north, south east and west. He played at Glastonbury Festival in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and at The Union Chapel in London in 2008. In the 15 months between September 2008 and the beginning of this year Ash played an amazing 163 gigs in the UK - and recorded an album Ash says.... "My act is about entertainment. It is musically eclectic (sits best in folk/rock) and theatrical. It includes the use of a double neck custom guitar, loop machines, story telling, comedy and costumes (I have been described as a "techno jester"). My vocals have been compared to Sting having swallowed an opera singer, or Midge Ure crossed with velvet. I also make wicked hats, which are part of the act".
