Later on this year there will be an album out on Righteous 23 Records called (possibly) "Riding the Range, a Tribute to Townes Van Zandt". It will feature a whole host of brand new recordings of Townes Van Zandt songs by a whole host of folk including Devon Sproule, The Mighty Steff (featuring Shane MacGowan), Michael Weston King, The Magic Numbers, Songdog, Jason McNiff, Johnny Dowd,, Danny Schmidt,.... the list goes on & on..... A highlight will be a new song called Townes at the Borderline written by Jackie Leven and recorded under a volcanic Norwegian sky by the man himself.
