As I've been living in the Republic of Ireland for nearly four years now I can't keep forever running the gauntlet on my U.K taxed/insured Volvo that should technically have been imported over two years ago, so if anyone who wants to buy a really nice reliable car for a very cheap price...... read on! It's a 2002 Volvo V40 sports estate 1.9 diesel, metallic grey, new timing belt (and new waterpump fitted the same time) - VERY reliable and very economical - 45 to the gallon. Nine months MOT and five months tax. Black eather upholstery, air conditioning, electric windows/mirrors, alloy wheels, wood trim, central locking, excellent CD/radio/cassette stereo (very important!), professionally wired for mobile handsfree (and I'll even throw in a mobile phone that fits the cradle!!). Space for stuff in the boot is very good, and plenty of leg room in the front and back. A few small scrapes & dinks etc on the bodywork, but no major bodywork problems and no rust. Factory fitted integral roofbars, too.. Acceleration is good for a diesel, and when you get it out on the open road it's a beauty to handle and goes well in 5th gear and can reach about 115mph (I tried it once...). It's high mileage (145K) but hell, it's a diesel!!!!!! They seem to go on forecourt prices at around £3,500, but I'd take a LOT less. Open to offers, anything apart from really silly offers considered. Can deliver to U.K!! Cheers, J
