OX - full band from Canada - last night of their UK tour at RMA Tavern this Saturday!

Ox is the brainchild of Mark Browning, a Canadian alt-country, indie hybrid singer, guitarist and
songwriter from a folk background. Mark's first solo appearance at The R.M.A.
was astounding - Mark became the first artiste here to sell out of CD's,
vinyl albums and even T shirts!

We're honoured that Mark is bringing Ox - the full band - to The R.M.A. this Saturday, 24th October. as it's the last gig of their U.K tour before returing to their native Canada, so it promises to be an absoulte cracker!!!!

Ox/Mark Browning has released a number of top class albums, albums, one of which, "Dust Bowl Revival", reached
number one on the Canadian National College Radio chart - the first
independent Canadian record to reach top spot in decades

Ox/Mark Browning has been a West Coast Music Award nominee (in the Male Artit Of The Year category for two years runnig.

Mark has had hit singles which were heavily featured on CBC national radio. His video, "Gasoline", was featured on "Much More Music", Canada's national music station.

Ox's follow up to the seminal alt-country, indie hybrid
classic, 'Dust Bowl Revival', is the recently released “American Lo Fi”, which features 11
songs that give a nod to Velvet Underground meets Bruce Springsteen,
trading New Jersey urban fairground for Pacific interstate moonscape. The album fuses weary with vicious, punk with
hillbilly, the farmer in the city with the electro-magnetic aura of
tape hiss and amp crackle. As soon as we hear Mark Browning’s drawling vocals creak on the opening
song “Miss Idaho” we instantly know that Ox has delivered an album of
stature, delivering the sound of Halloween
crossed with Christmas Eve spent in a bus station diner.

To form Ox, Mark Browning recruited fellow hometown
(Sudbury, Ontario) songwriter, guitarist/pianist Ryan Bishops and a host
of guests, and over subsequent years they've toured endlessly- the U.S. coasts-
the U.K. five times, Ireland three times, Germany and Holland twice, and of
course Canada- back and forth from coast to coast seven times over the
course of four years.

To maintain a grass roots approach, Ox has done it
the hard way - thousands of miles in cramped mini-vans... countless
nights spent bedding down on floors, couches... pool tables... bad
food, stale beer- blown tiyes, road kill. Ox's sound is the sound of
the open road- from not far above it.

If
you like Neil Young and Bob Dylan's "John Wesley Harding" period, you'll love
Ox!

Don't miss this one!! -

OX - the full band - are at The RMA Tavern, Cromwell Rd., Eastney, Portsmouth, his Saturday, 24th October. Music starts around 9 p.m. It's FREE entry, too!
