AN SEISIUN - The R.M.A. - the FULL lineup play a St. Patricks gig this THURSDAY, 19th March!

The FULL line up of  top high energy Celtic band AN SEISIUN are back at The R.M.A. Tavern in Cromwell Road, Eastney, on Thursday 19th March.

AN SEISIUN metamorphosed from Celtic rock band MOTHERFOLKERS, formed by mandolin maestro Pete Clarke back in the early 90's.

MOTHERFOLKERS and AN SEISIUN played many  top festivals and gigs, sharing the stage with such legendary Celtic bands as The Sawdoctors, Wolfstone, The Sharon Shannon Band, Four Men And A Dog and Altan. AN SEISIUN have also played  in France and Ireland.

Initially AN SEISIUN filled a need for a more rootsy session with bodhran & percussion rather than a full rock drum sound, but the energy has always remained.

Apart from Pete's inspired mandolin playing, AN SEISIUN also features original MOTHERFOLKERS Graham Jones (guitar)  Greg (bass) and John Roberts (vocals), who are  joined by Andy James on fiddle, and Chris Smith, Andy Paflin & Carl Jacobs on percussion to make up AN SEISIUN.

Anything can happen at an AN SEISIUN gig and frequently does - expect anything,  from a traditional Galway piece  to a "what-if-Bob-Marley-was-an-Irishman" version of "The Wild Rover" via an Appalachian mile-a-minute fiddle tune!

Pete Clarke moved to France some years ago, and although all the band members joined other bands, SEISIUN  still get together sporadically, but always to a rapturous response.

John Roberts moved to County Galway three years ago, and just over a year ago Pete Clarke left France
and moved into a cottage about a mile from John, and  the music lives on....

Don't miss this great opportunity to see the FULL line up of AN SEISIUN  again, to celebrate St. Patricks!

Tickets are just £5, available in advance over the bar, or on the night- subject to availability....

Music starts at  9 p.m , doors at 8 p.m.
