LIGHTNIN' WILLIE AND THE POORBOYS - Bullfrog Blues Club, Southsea Thursday 2nd July

LIGHTNIN' WILLIE AND THE POORBOYS are at The Bullfrog Blues Club on Thursday 2nd July - NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

Lightnin Willie is  brilliant performer who has the rare ability to work an audience and generate a massive level of enjoyment, as was witnessed at his last appearance at The Bullfrog!

We're delighted to welcome this fine singer, guitarist and all round showman  back at The Bullfrog, with his great band..

Emerging from the clubs and bars
of the U.S Blues scene, Lightnin' Willie is an accomplished and
hard-working guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. Now based in Los
Angeles, Willie is a seasoned musician who has paid his dues. With four
albums under his belt, this eloquent storyteller has his own story of
time on the road, personal loss, fresh beginnings and an over-riding
love of playing the "Devil's Music".

The new album,  "Lucky As The Devil"  features Sylvio on bass (Italy), Franck Rouleau on drums (France) and Giles King (U.K.), who Willie says is "the best harmonica player I know". Giles joins Willie at The Bullfrog, together with  Aaron McRobbie  on  bass, and Bruce Barber on  drums.

Lightnin' Willie is the cover artist and featured Musician inside the June 2009 issue of "Blues In Britain" magazine.

Lightnin Willie & The Poorboys appears at The Bullfrog Blues Club on South Parade Pier, Southsea,  on Thursday 2nd July. Doors open at 8 p.m. Support is by The Bullfrog House Band.
