Roots! Four leading musicians, Catriona McKay, Donald Grant, Peter Cropper and Alistair Anderson, explore the common roots of classical and folk music in a programme which Includes music by Bach and Bartok as well as their own compositions Alistair Anderson accordion/bagpipes, Peter Cropper violin, Donald Grant violin, Catriona McKay clarsach An exciting evening exploring the common roots and developing branches of the classical and folk traditions. The programme ranges from Bach, Bartok and Ysaye to new and traditional music from the Highlands and Islands. A rare opportunity to hear musicians who are leaders in their respective fields perform together and share their love and knowledge of two musical forms with common roots.
