Bullfrog Blues Club at the Pier first booked Juicy Lucy to open for Budgie - a hard act to open for, but they had the audience in the palm of their hands.... so much so that we booked 'em again to headline! So don't miss them tonight at The Cellars At Eastney! AND IT'S ONLY £8!!!!!! JUICY LUCY were formed after psychedelic band The Misunderstood changed direction away from psychedelia into blues rock Their first single under the new name "Who Do You Love?", was number 14 in the singles charts in the UK in 1970. Members over the years included Paul Williams ( Alan Price/ Zoot Money) and Micky Moody (Whitesnake), but Ray Owens, the original vocalist was back fronting the band in 2005, when the band were re-launched. The band gigged across the UK, supporting Saxon and Wishbone Ash in front of a crowd of 4000, playing at venues from Plymouth to Aberdeen, and the following year supported Nazareth at a string of dates up and down England as well as continuing to headline in their own right. Sanctuary Records have released a retrospective of the band across the years -- "Who Do You Love - The Anthology", and the current lineup's latest album "Do That And You'll Lose It", was recorded at The Levellers' Metway Studios in Brighton and released in September 2006.
