Friday April 18th: (£6) Doors open at 6.p.m. at The Irish Cultural Centre, so you can arrive early and meet up with friends old & new at the bar before The Gloss Club Open Mic. night. The Gloss Club (www.myspace.com/theglossclub) is a collaboration between Rosalind Scanlon - the Artistic Director of the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith - and the brilliant Irish singer songwriter J. Eoin, (pronounced "Owen"), who will be your M.C for the evening. There's a great P.A in situ, so just bring your guitar, and sing a Dylan song - the more unusual the better! A great Bob Dylan fan, Jinder will be performing a set of Dylan songs with passion and commitment. B.B.C. Radio One's Zane Lowe has described Jinder as "A significant new talent to look out for in the near future" whilst legendary alt.country artist Ryan Adams says "I have a friend who runs a little indie store right around the corner from me in N.Y.C. who orders his stuff in for me. Great minds think alike." Check out Jinder on www.jinderonline.co.uk and www.myspace.com/jinder J. EOIN is well known for his collaborations with Ashley Reed, one time violinist for The Albion Band, and he is also the acoustic guitarist and singer with the 3 piece 'traumagrass' outfit, Flynt, featuring Dick Smith on 5-string banjo and Sean McGloin on electric fiddle.
