Special offer for tickets for THE MOVE!! This Saturday at The Cellars!

This coming Sat 14th  at The Cellars  it's  the return of 60's legends THE MOVE -and as a discerning Barking Spider mailing list subscriber, you can save FOUR QUID a ticket!

When The  Move chose The Cellars At Eastney as a warm-up gig after reforming, it  was one of the highlights of 2007, with a  near sell-out crowd  -  at  only two  weeks notice!

The project, which had the blessing of the late Carl Wayne, caused a flurry of media attention, with sessions on BBC Radio, celebrating the fact that not only was it The Move’s 40th anniversary, but also that of Radio 1, which played 'Flowers In The Rain 'as their first ever record.

Roy Wood protested at the reunion, despite being invited to join, but the fans still came. Why ? Quite simply because The Move were, and still are, one of the best 60s bands. Homage is paid to Roy’s song-writing, as seven  of his songs are included, alongside other material, some of which has not been played live for nearly 40 years and some which was often played live by the band in the '60s.

All the classics are here: 'Flowers In The Rain', 'Fire Brigade', 'Blackberry Way', 'Night of Fear,' 'Tonight', 'California Man', 'I Can Hear The Grass Grow' plus songs made famous by other Brum bands, such as Spencer Davis Group’s 'Gimme Some Lovin'', which brought the house down at the first Cellars show.

To view  the  photos  taken at The Cellars check out their website  www.themovelive.co.uk,

The Move  are playing some big venues this year, but they wanted to return to The Cellars – a stone’s throw from the old Birdcage, site of their only ever residency outside London Book early, this is unmissable.
