BARRY BARNES, the front man (guitarist and singer) of SINNERBOY, the best RORY GALLAGHER interpreters in the world, plays at The Cellars at Eastney this Wednesday, 17th December. Barry is one of Europe's most active enthusiasts working to keep alive the music and memory of Rory Gallagher. Since 1996 Barry he's organized the annual Rory Gallagher tribute gig at Dukinfield Town Hall, near Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire, making this the first, and the longest running Rory Tribute in the world. Currently established as one of the main events on the Rory calendar, and forced to re-locate to Sheffield, it continues to grow and now 'The Rory Gig' attracts audiences in excess of four hundred people from throughout the UK and abroad. As well as treading the boards with SINNERBOY Barry also tours the U.K (and Ireland!) regularly playing the solo acoustic music of (who else!) Rory Gallagher, all your favourites are in the set: 'Pistol Slapper Blues', 'Out on the Western Plain', 'As the Crow Flies' etc, plus acoustic renditions of other Rory material not normally associated with acoustic guitars : 'Moonchild', 'Daughter of the Everglades' etc. It's a Bullfrog Blues presentation, so you know it's gonna be good! AND...it's only £8!
