ROBIN BIBI - this Wednesday 19th Of September - Bullfrog Blues at The Alma Arms Highland Road, Eastney September's guest at The Bullfrog At The Alma is the one and only Robin Bibi. Well known to regulars to The Bullfrog, both as a solo solo performer or with his band, Robin is a great guitarist and personality. A seasoned professional, amongst the artists he has backed are Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Ben E King and.... Helen Shapiro! Robin has just played the prestigious Monaghan Blues Festival in Southern Ireland, on the same bill as Van Morrison. The Bullfrog at The Alma appearance will be a solo Robin Bibi gig, and tickets are just £5, obtainable on the door - doors open at 8 p.m. If you haven't been to a Bullfrog at The Alma gig yet, you're in for a pleasant surprise. Since the pub was recently taken over the new manager has completely renovated the backroom adding soundproofing and a stage, with an "in house" P.A. system. Its now a venue which can seat around 100 people in comfort, and boasts its own exclusive bar, selling great beer - real ales a speciality! This makes it an ideal venue for intimate blues events featurimg some of the best solo and duo acts on the circuit - like Robin Bibi!
