I am trying to help Peter Noone on a small but important charity venture on behalf of original Dave Clark 5 lead singer Mike Smith whom you may be aware has been paralysed from the neck down since falling off his garden wall in 2004. Such a simple twist of fate as Bob would say. He couldn’t get the gate to open so decided to hop over the 7 ft wall. He is over 6 ft tall himself so it didn’t seem much of a challenge. Sadly, he landed on his neck and has lived in hospital ever since. It looks now as if Mike will be released from hospital within a few months and he desperately needs a highly specialised van in order to be transported and to get around. His lovely wife Charlie is from my American home state of Indiana, and we have come to know each other over the past couple of years so I am so keen to help in this urgent situation.
