RORYGALLAGHER acoustivc night with BarryBarns ofSINNERBOY- TONIGHT! (Wednesday)

Any Rory Gallagher fans out there will have seen top Rory Gallagher Tribute band SINNERBOY live at The Bullfrog Club Blues Club on South Parade Pier, Southsea, where they ALWAYS go down a storm, but now for something a little different...

On Wednesday 18th July SINNERBOY's guitarist and singer Barry Barnes will be playing solo, performing THE ACOUSTIC MUSIC OF RORY GALLAGHER at The Alma Arms, Highland Rd., Southsea.

Barry first saw Rory play with ‘Taste’ in 1969 and Rory has been his biggest influence and inspiration from that day to this. He  promoted the first and longest running annual tribute concert to Rory in his native Manchester, and formed SINNERBOY in 2000.

SINNERBOY have the  personal seal of approval of Rory's brother Donal Gallagher, who made him his choice of band for the first London Rory  festival at Hammersmith.

The acoustic set that Rory always played in the middle of a performance was always enthusiastically received by his faithful fans and Barry’s acoustic interludes in Sinnerboy concerts reproduce the passion and excitement, and Barry’s latest project is to play a full solo set of Rory’s famous acoustic songs.

Expect to hear ‘Out on the Western Plain’ ‘Pistol Slapper Blues’ ‘As the Crow Flies’ and many more -  including the steaming mandolin workout ‘Going to my hometown’

But to be getting on with...check out this link on Youtube, of Barry playing "Too Much Alcohol" at The Boom Boom Club in Sutton on May 13th this year......
