As many of you will know, my elder son Jamie Roberts died on 13th December. He was 27.
His funeral will be at Portchester Crematorium, Fareham, Hants, at 3.30.p.m. on Monday 8th January.
His prize possession, his Gibson Les Paul, will be in front of the coffin during the funeral.
Many of you will remember Jamie from The Bullfrog Blues Club, and anyone who knew Jamie and wish to commemorate his all too short life will be welcome to attend his funeral.
I have been asked by some of you about floral tributes, but the family have decided that it will be family flowers only.
If, however, you were considering sending flowers, it may be that you would consider a contribution to "Spotlight" drugs counselling service in Fareham to be appropriate. Jamie was receiving help for a drugs problem from the "Spotlight" group.
There will be a collection plate at the Crematorium, and any donations in lieu of flowers will be forwarded to
Addiaid (Registered Charity No 1100312) for the specific benefit of “Spotlight, Fareham”
Any cheques should be made payable to “Addiaid Trustees” and – if sent at a later date, addressed to them at 82 Moody Road, Fareham, Hants, PO14 2BX.
Completion of a Gift Aid certificate as follows will enable Addiaid to claim an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue for every £1 donated.
