For those of you who have been living on Planet Zorg for the last ten years and don't know who Aynsley Lister is, read on.....

Aynsley Lister played his first semi professional gig at 13, and shortly after played support to Coco Montoya's band in San Francisco. At 18, he put his first band together. His first album was released in 1996 on his own label, with a follow up live album released in '97. 5,000 were sold just at gigs!!.

In 1988 Aynsley played a couple of shows with Bernard Allison, and was promptly snapped up by Ruf Records, for whom he recorded the 'Aynsley Lister' album. There was much to admire in the spirited performances of Eddie Boyd's 'Five Long Years', Lister originals 'She's A Woman' and 'Soundman' and a collaboration with Walter Trout on Gary Moore's 'Since I Met You Baby'

Aynsley can also add Buddy Guy, Jools Holland, John Mayall and Robert Cray to his impressive list of support slots, although these days he headlines in his own right more often than not.

His album 'Everything I Need' produced by ex Hoax member Jesse Davey. Alongside bigger and brassier re- workings of first album favourites 'Angel O' Mine', 'Soundman' and 'Without You' sit the super sensitive and stripped down version of the Hendrix classic 'Little Wing'.

In early 2001 Aynsley Lister started playing the occasional solo gig to great acclaim, and Bullfrog Blues Club were honoured when Aynsley's debut solo album "Superkev & Pilchards", was recorded at The Bullfrog Blues Club on South Parade Pier in 2001.

He's back playing a solo gig at The OTHER Bullfrog Blues Club on Wednesday- a fitting opening night for an exciting new venture!

Don't miss this great night of top flight blues at it's very best!!!
