The Southsea Folk And Roots Festival may be over for another year but the music doesn't stop ... This week Kent Duchaine, the ultimate itinerant blues man returns to the Bullfrog Blues Club. Kent will be appearing at The Raglan Rooms @ The Alma Arms in highland road Eastney. The Alma, our smaller acoustic orientated venue is perfectly suited to a gig like this, an excellent situation to listen to Kent's facinating stories about his travels with great blues players like Johney Shines, along with the stories they passed on to him about Robert Johnson and the other early 'greats', not forgetting his powerful performances of both his own songs and many other blues standards. When Kent has appeared at the pier he has regularly outsold the capacity of the Alma, so please get down early to avoid disapointment. We will certainly have tickets available on the door but you can still reserve yours online but going to http://www.barkingspider.abelgratis.com/html/tickets.shtml Even if you allready have a ticket, get there early to ensure a good seat! Remember the entrance to the Raglan Rooms is down the side of the pub, you don't need to walk throgh the main bar.
