Thanks to Giles Morgan for this follow up on the e mails re Robert Lockwood Jr & Robert Johnson.... The Great Robert Johnson may have owed some of his great talent at the guitar to his rather long fingers, a medical condition known as arachnodactyly. This, and other of his physical features, have led some to believe that he had a medical condition called Marfan's Syndrome. If so, this might well have accounted for his sadly premature death at the age of 27yrs. See British Medical Journal 2006;333:489.
