David Grier and the Hootenanny 3- South Parade Pier Thursday 11th May! David Grier is an astonishing blues grass and country guitarist from the U.S.A, and plays with Hootennanny 3, a trio formed from some of the UK's finest acoustic musicians, playing what is best described as `mid-Atlantic music'. Far from being another contrived `new' kind of music, this is naturally what happens when an Irish fiddler with an insightful understanding of bluegrass, a bluegrass banjo player with a flair for re-working Irish tunes and a guitarist who is equally at home backing Irish or American music, get together to express their healthy disregard for history and geography.
