Deborah Bonham Band and Dan Phelps - Frog On The Front., Pyramids Centre, Southsea, Saturday 4th February. On Saturday Barking Spider Promotions have a change of venues from their usual haunt , when - for one week only - they move from South Parade Pier to The Frog On The Front, at The Pyramids Centre, to present a special Bullfrog Blues Club extra night, when The Deborah Bonham Band are supported by the Illinois resonator guitar wizard, Dan Phelps. . Deborah Bonham is the younger sister of Led Zeppelin's drummer, the late John Bonham. She has assembled a band of hand-picked musicians, including the another legendary drummer Jerry Shirley, of Humble Pie. . Deborah's last album "The Old Hyde" features guest appearances from Mo Foster, Mick Fleetwood, Robert Plant guitarists Robbie Blunt and Dougie Boyle, Paul McCartney's guitarist Robbie McIntosh and John's son Jason Bonham. Earlier last year (2005) top U.S soul singer Ann Peebles heard Deborah's version of her huge hit 'I Can't Stand The Rain' and asked if Debs wanted to re-record the classic song as a duo. Whilst Ann was in the U.K for the session, she performed just three gigs, all with The Deborah Bonham Band as special guests - The Royal Festival Hall, London, The Borderline Club in London and South Parade Pier Southsea. Deborah's recently latest album "The Old Hyde",album features guest appearances from Mick Fleetwood, Robert Plant guitarists Robbie Blunt and Dougie Boyle, Paul McCartney's guitarist Robbie McIntosh and John's son Jason Bonham, amongst others. Support artiste Dan Phelps, is a phenomenal acoustic blues guitarist from Illinois, U.S.A. Dan has appeared with Bob Brozman, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Woody Mann, Mike Dowling, Pat Donohue, Lightnin' Willie and the Poorboys and C.J. Chenier, among many others. While touring the UK in 2004, Dan Phelps appeared on BBC 2's blues show, hosted by Paul Jones.
