Barking Spider has organised folk/roots/blues gigs to raise funds for the Silver Jubilee Activities Centre, Manor Farm Country Park, at Bursledon. The centre, for young adults with learning difficulties, is run by Phil Oates of Queen Elizabeth II Centre. Phil is a great supporter of quality live music and Barking Spider. Phil's daughter Abi, together with her partner Dan, have organised Indie Jockstock, a fundraiser for the Centre at the Dorchester Arms, Bevois Valley, Southampton onThursday September 22nd. Three of Southampton's top indie bands ECHOBEAT, DRIVING SOUTH and DAKAR RALLY will be apearing between 8:00 till 2:00 - and tickets are just £4.
