Harry Skinner Band - Bullfrog Blues Club, Southsea, Thursday 3rd November The Harry Skinner Blues Band are a five piece band formed in 2004 from the ashes of the legendary Talking Heads Blues Club (Southampton) house band. Harry has been around for some time now, and is quite rightly regarded as one of the leading lights on the British blues scene, with over 10 albums to his name, under various guises. He's best known as front man and songwriter for the award winning U.K. band The Producers, which sadly disbanded in 2001 after 10 years continuously touring Europe, the U.K, America and New Zealand. The band have already cut a fine album “Ain’t Nobody’s Business”. Whilst Harry plays lead (with some very tasty slide work!) Peter Catlin’s on second guitar, with Ray Drury on organ, Stuart Marshall is on drums, and Henk Leerink is on bass. The essence of this band is great ensemble playing without any rock pyrotechnics. The interplay between the two guitars and organ is superb, and with Harry’s soulful vocals it makes for a cracking band - British blues at its best! The Harry Skinner Band appear at The Bullfrog Blues Club, Southsea on Thursday 3rd November - doors open 8 p.m. .
