Hobbs Farm Music Festival to return!

This looks like a very good cause, and a lot of fun too- if you can help in
any way or would just like to atttend, either e mail me or contact Jules, her
details are below. Many of you will know Jules as a former member of LEGACY.

In 2004 The Hobbs Farm Music Festival was revived by 4SIGHT (West Sussex
Association for the Blind) and successfully held over a weekend in September 2004.

The festival was a sell-out of 600 people and raised £5,500 for the local
charity 4SIGHT (West Sussex Association for the Blind). It featured 18 bands and
included Guy Fletcher of Dire Straits.

Due to its success 4SIGHT are holding the event this year on the 10th and
11th September at Hobbs Farm, Bilsham Road Yapton. Funding has been found to set
up the festival thanks to several trusts and foundations.

The 2005 festival will see 18 bands perform over two days in the beautiful
surrounding of the barn and courtyard. Camping will be available for weekend
visitors and plenty of stalls including, craft, food, clairvoyant, challenges,
massage, plants etc. will be set in the courtyard. A real ale bar will feature
in the side barn, which will also host open music sessions for any musician
wanting to share tunes.

A local music retailer will be selling and demonstrating instruments and food
will be available hopefully to include a Hog Roast and BBQ.

Breakfast will be available on Sunday Morning for any attendee, with a full
day ahead of further bands and activities. Animal feeding and farm tours will
be provided for the children throughout the weekend and also a musical
instrument-making workshop with a performance on stage! Raffles and games will be
held through the weekend to help raise further funds for the charity.

Music will include blues, rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass, covers, funk, breton
and many other styles. There will be opportunity to sit and relax to sing
songwriters or to get on down and boogie in the barn!

4SIGHT is currently recruiting, musicians, bands and volunteers who would be
willing to support the 2005 Hobbs Farm festival.

If you would like to play, have a stall or take a volunteers position in the
weekend, including: parking, bar work, cleaning, band running raffles ticket
sales and many other things, please phone Jules on 01243 838000 for a chat.

Musicians can send a demo CD to Jules@ 4SIGHT (West Sussex Association for
the Blind), 1 Longford Road, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, PO21 1AA.

A programme will be available for the public on the day and opportunity to
advertise for £25 each advert is also available. If you are a local business
and would like to support 4SIGHT in this way, please email Jules on
4sightsussex@onetel.com.

Any raffle prizes and any other form of sponsorship would also be greatly
welcomed.

All proceeds will go direct to 4SIGHT (West Sussex Association for the Blind)
which support of 4,300 blind and partially sighted people in West Sussex.
Funding is vitally important to the charity which provides all its services free
of charge to it's members.

In 2004 the event was a sell out. Please take note that tickets are not
available on the door and must be pre booked. Please book tickets early to avoid
disappointment.
