Thurs. 26th May - KING ROLLO with TONY MATTIOLI'S STOLEN BIBLES!!

Thursday 26th May: The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea -
KING ROLLO with special guests  TONY MATTIOLI'S STOLEN BIBLES

Thursday 26th May sees the long awaited return to The Bullfrog Blues Club of
King Rollo - the man who Paul Jones of Radio 2's Blues programme describes as
"One of Britain's finest acoustic blues  performers".

Breaking down the barriers of music and arts boundaries,
singer/guitarist/songwriter Rollo blends the traditional with the contemporary to achieve a
distinctive watermark in acoustic blues & roots music. In live performance he
presents a unique and entertaining show.

No stranger to The Bullfrog, King Rollo  has appeared on BBC Radio 2 and
Yorkshire TV and makes regular appearances on local radio stations throughout the
UK. Rollos' performed concerts and festivals throughout Europe, and has
performed  with Eric Bibb, Michael Roach, Peter Green, Mojo Buford, Kent Duchaine,
as well as  supporting The Country Joe Band during their 2004 UK tour.

The icing on the cake is that The  Stolen Bibles are also appearing, fronted
by virtuoso guitarist & vocalist Tony Mattioli from San Francisco (whose
first  band, Cold House, were voted best R&B Band in the 1995 "San Francisco
Weekly" reader's poll).

The Stolen Bibles were formed in 1999, and their sound is unlike anything you
have heard,  as "the most irreverent inspirational band on America's West
Coast"  blend soul, blues, funk, rock and gospel together.  They've opened shows
for such notables  as Jimmy Rodgers, Little Charlie and the Nightcats,  Joe
Louis Walker, Tommy Castro, Greg Allman, Steve Miller, Keb Mo, Los Lobos, Phil
Lesh and Friends (Grateful Dead).and Sista Monica, and are favourite
performers for some of the best festivals in the Bay Area.

In the U.K, The Stolen Bibles feature members of The Micky Kemp Band, seen at
The Bullfrog recently, backing the great Joe D'Urso from New Jersey.  In
2003,  Tony Mattioli performed throughout  Bruce  Springsteen's European stadium
tour as the featured soloist with  Joe Durso's Stone Caravan. The Stolen Bibles
(with members of The Micky Kemp Band) also guested recently  at  an amazing
gig at The R.M.A., with Bill Kirchen, one of the world's finest guitarists -
although Tony Mattioli gave him a run for his money!

Doors open at 8 p.m. on Thursday 26th May at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South
Parade Pier, Southsea.  DON'T MISS IT!!!!!!!

e funk and groove collective, with many of the Stolen Bible members, S & L
music, Mattioli has played over 1000 gigs in the Bay Area and around California,
often with residencies in many of the most popular clubs in San
Francisco.

The Stolen Bibles claim their roots in original Americana. Dave "Bird"
Tweedle, as producer, co-writer drummer and vocalist, contributes much to the
consistent professionalism of the Stolen Bibles. Dave has garnered quite a following
in his years of success in Bay Area bands (the award-winning Los Angelitos,
and The Electric Company.) Add Geoff Brennan's bass, and you have one of the
most sought after bands in the area. Geoff has been a mainstay in S.F. for years
with the soulful "Hueman Flavor." The extremely talented Afro-Cuban pianist
Omar Sosa, keyboardists Nelson Church and Dan Eisenberg all bring texture and
scope to the frontline.  These players and the others listed in the liner notes
all willingly provide the backdrop to Tony's honest lyrics, conceived guitar
and arrangement work.

Tony has opened shows for blues greats such as Jimmy Rogers, Little Charlie
and the Nightcats, Tommy Castro, and Sista Monica, in addition to playing with
Joe Louis Walker, and has been a long-standing support performer for the
Fillmore Auditorium for shows with Greg Allman, Steve Miller, Keb Mo Moe, Los
Lobos, and Phil Lesh and friends. Tony also travels to many state and local
colleges as a lecturer and performer in his "Blue Journey" music series.
