Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea Thursday 24th March - THE AYNSLEY LISTER BAND Aynsley Lister is back - with the band!!!!!! He's always had a special place in the hearts of Portsmouth blues fans, especially as his solo CD, "Superkev & Pilchards", was recorded at The Bullfrog Blues Club! However, on Thursday's concert at The Bullfrog Blues Club on South Parade Pier Aynsley will be appearing with his band. Aynsley Lister played his first semi professional gig at 13, and shortly after played support to Coco Montoya's band in San Francisco. At 18, he put his first band together, and his big break came when in 1988 after Aynsley had played a couple of shows with Bernard Allison, he was promptly snapped up by Ruf Records, for whom he recorded the 'Aynsley Lister' album. Aynsley has an impressive list of support slots to his credit, including artists such as Buddy Guy, Jools Holland, John Mayall and Robert Cray, Bryan Adams and even The Fun Lovin' Criminals! THE AYNSLEY LISTER BAND appear at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea on Thursday 24th March. Doors open at 8 p.m - tickets available from (023) 9286 3911 or on the door.
