By a strange co-incidence, Saturday 19th March is not only the day of the SHANE McGOWAN & THE POPES gig in The Gaiety Bar of South Parade Pier, but it's also the day that Ireland meet Wales in The Six Nations rugby!!!!!!!! The game is being televised and will be shown on the big screen in The Albert Bar of South Parade Pier - kick off is at 3 p.m. The will probably be an Irish session on too, before and after- especially if, as predicted, Ireland beat Wales!!!!!! Nick Lyne, the manager of the Pier, has promised to lay on some extra Guinness to cover the afternoon, so the doors to the Albert Bar of South Parade Pier will be open from12 noon. The "wearing of the green" is positively encouraged. For the other kick off - the gig itself, doors will open in The Gaiety Suite of South Parade Pier at 8 p.m. IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT YOUR TICKET FOR SHANE MACGOWAN AND THE POPES get it NOW- tickets are going fast, and this WILL be a sellout - it's the last of the St. Patrick's week gigs.The biggest venue of the tour Shepherds Bush Empire, has now SOLD OUT!!!!!!
