Ferris Wheel are appearing this Tuesday, 11th Jan 2005 at The R.M.A. Tavern,
Cromwell Road, Eastney.
Ferris Wheel feature Dave Allen and Denis Reeve Baker from (the now gone)
Reet Petite And Gone.
Woodstock legend Country Joe MacDonald was so taken with Reet Petite & Gone
that he personally asked them to be his backing band on his 2002 U.K. tour.
In 2004 Joe had reformed most of Country Joe And The Fish as The Country Joe
Band, and on the night of their arrival in the U.K last June The Country Joe
Band turned up at The R.M.A. Tavern to see Joe's pals Denis & Dave with their
new band, Ferris Wheel.
As fate would have it, Joe and the boys came through the door just as Ferris
Wheel were performing their great version of "Woodstock". As Harry Hill
would say "What's the chances of that happening, then?" And what were the
chances of The Country Joe Band joining forces with Ferris Wheel to finish the
evening? Because that's exactly what happened - a never to be be forgotten night
in The R.M.A.......
Ferris Wheel also supported The Country Joe Band at The Isle Of Wight
Festival and the grand finale of their 2004 U.K. tour at South Parade Pier.
Now, with THAT kind of calibre, how can you NOT come down and see this great
band? Especially as admission is absolutely free! See you on Tuesday!
