Thursday 24th Feb - Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier, Southsea - STEVE ARVEY's BLUESMOVE and WHITE KNUCKLE BLUES BAND This Thursday at The Bullfrog Blues Club not only can you experience some genuine Chicago urban blues in the shape of Steve Arvey & BluesMove, but you can see Pompey's very own White Knuckle Blues Band too! . Steve Arvey was lead guitarist in The Robert Hunter Band which backed & toured with Bo Diddley for some years with Steve on bass and another Bullfrog favourite, Ben Andrews on lead guitar. The band backed & toured with Bo Diddley for some years, and to this day remains a close friend of both Steve & Ben. Steve has played with some real legends including Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Rogers, Carey Bell, Eddie Clearwater, Big Jack Johnson & Homesick James. Steve is an accomplished acoustic musician as well as being a fine electric guitarist & he'll be doing an acoustic spot before being joined by his band. Steve is endorsed by Gibson guitars, praise in itself for this authentic Chicago bluesman. White Knuckle Blues Band, (Steve Roux, Bernie Fox and Rob Vick) need no introduction, this much loved Portsmouth based blues band are on of the most poular blues bands on the circuit today, and a Bullfrog favourite. Doors open at 8.p.m. - don't be late for this great double header!
