Exit Ben Andrews - enter Claude Bourbon.

STOP PRESS- BEN ANDREWS....

I've just heard from John Adams of Bottleneck Blues that Ben Andrews won't
be appearing at The Bullfrog on Thursday 7th October. John Adams is Ben's U.K
manager.

Evidently Ben has not been in the best of health lately, and almost as soon
as he arrived in the U.K. (before playing a single gig) Ben suffered a nervous
breakdown, and as a result has returned home.

John has let me know as soon as he possibly could, for which I am very
grateful. We wish Ben all the very best for a speedy recovery, and hope to see him
over on these shores again as soon as he's up to it.

However, the good news is that Claude Bourbon, the frog with the happy blues,
has stepped into the breech and will be appearing at The Bullfrog on 7th
October instead.

Thousands of people in the U.K. and Europe have enjoyed listening to this
virtuoso as he plays in more than 100 venues each year. For the majority of his
audience it is an experience that compels them to return again and again to
hear and watch him play his guitar and create a unique sound that is Claude -
the most frequently asked question at his gigs is.." How does he do that?"

> To say Claude Bourbon's roots are in the Blues is like saying Leonardo de
> Vinci was a painter. Claude is inspired by music from around the world
> including Spanish Middle Eastern, Russian and Europe. He takes these sounds and
> weaves them into songs and melodies that may be blues but can be ballads, rock,
> jazz or pieces that can't be labelled.
>
> His fifth CD is a fine example of his music, but don't be surprised if it
> is not exactly as you heard him play. Claude continually changes the music to
> suit his mood and to see how far he can take his music. This is a musician
> who has total commitment and belief in the music he creates.

The last word goes to Claude: "I'm looking forward to seeing you Thursday.
Happy blues everybody !"

Claude Bourbon appears at The Bullfrog Blues Club, South Parade Pier,
Southsea, on Thursday 7th October. Doors open 8 p.m, entry £5.
