This is a public service announcement by Barking Spider! Emily Slade, one of the UK’s brightest emerging singer-songwriters will be playing the Cellar Bar at the Farnham Maltings on Wednesday the 20th October. You may have seen Emily other Barking Spider gigs, including The Southsea Folk & Roots Festival, 2001 and with The Phil Beer Band at The Isle Of Wight Roots In The Garden Festival 2002, and also with The Phil Beer Band at Southsea Folk & Roots Festival, 2003. Tickets are priced at £8.00 (£7.00 concessions) and can be ordered from the Maltings box office on 01252 726234. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm or Saturday 10am to 2pm. Emily Slade is an outstanding guitarist, with a distinctive technique, and her voice is blessed with a broad range and expressive quality. A partnership between an enchanting voice and intricate guitar playing are rarely found in one person, and it's this combination that make Emily such a captivating performer.
