Three great stomping FREE ENTRY gigs at The R.M.A. this week.....
This Tuesday (tomorrow!) we've got LADY WINWOOD'S MAGGOT - a first time for
this great high energy folk rock band from West Hampshire. Now features Chris
Hopgood from Arlen and Magic Cat on guitar - is this man the busiest guitar
player in Portsmouth at present, not counting Andy Broad?
On Friday Portsmouth's own BLUE BAZOOKAS return to the RMA. - the last time
they were here the crowd was spilling out onto the pavement as one of the few
places where elbows could be raised. It's rumoured the full brass section will
be in attendance and the band will perform their footstomping blend of blues,
soul and R'n'B. ("Brass and Blast ...." according to Richard Holledge, of
"The Times"!!!!)
On Saturday, another manic night with MAGIC CAT! Psychedelic blues at is best
featuring Kev ("Dr. Brown") Ellis on crazed vocals and harmonica, and Chris
Hopgood's second appearance at The R.M.A. in a week!
