At the Bullfrog Blues club on South Parade Pier in Southsea tonight we've got
Badtown Blues. This highly rated Essex based band continue to win friends
throughout the land with their blend of Chicago blues and Texas shuffles.
Bad Town Blues quickly established themselves on the festival circuit, and
are hopping into the Bullfrog on their way to the Hay On Wye Blues Festival.
Their debut album, "Down In The Alley", captures the group in blistering form
and what makes the CD even more impressive is that all 14 tracks are
originals.
The vast experience and expertise of keyboards player Ray "Chigwell Fats"
Bartrip, guitarist Clive Mulcahy and drummer Reg Patten combined with the younger
members of the band - harmonica man Adam Norton and bassist Jamie Lawrence -
gives Bad Town Blues the perfect blues blend. They can swing, boogie and rock
with Britain's best as you'll see for yourself at The Bullfrog tonight!
