Tonight and Tuesday at The R.M.A.!

R.M.A. Tavern Cromwell Rd., Eastney: Sat 24.7: DAN PHELPS & MATT FOX

There's a great blues & roots  double header of American blues artistes when
Dan Phelps and Matthew Fox appear at The R.M.A tonight as part of their U.K.
tour. .

Dan Phelps, from Crystal Lake, Illinois,  has been playing guitar
professionally for over 17 years. Although he's  been in many rock and blues bands,  over
the the past four years he's  begun performing solo,  singing and playing
traditional, acoustic blues.

Dan  has shared the stage with  the likes of Phil Guy, Michael Coleman and
C.J. Chenier, and in 2003, Phelps put out his first full-length CD, titled
"Broke Down Engine",  produced by Matthew  Fox, who  was so impressed with Dan
that he's joining  him for the  U.K.tour.

Originally from Georgia and raised in Texas, Matthew Fox is a
singer/songwriter, guitarist and mandolinist with influences ranging from Django Reinhardt
and Doc Watson to Mississippi John Hurt and John Prine.  Solo and in various
combos, Matthew has shared the bill with artists as diverse as John McEuen and
Johnny Winter.

Matthew's songs have been likened to the writing styles of Lyle Lovett and
Norman Blake,  and he was one of 5 international finalists in the 2003 Sisters
Folk Festival Songwriting Contest.

Matthew's shows usually include a mix of blues tunes, a jazz standard or two
and a healthy dose of his acclaimed original songs and instrumentals,
performed on flattop and resonator guitars and varied in style but usually rooted in
the American Roots traditions.

DAN PHELPS & MATHEW FOX appear at The R.M.A. Tavern Cromwell Rd., Eastney on
Saturday. Admision as usual is free.

R.M.A. Tavern Cromwell Rd., Eastney: Tues 27th July:  BEX MARSHALL
If you see a woman carrying a guitar on her back arrive at The R.M.A. Tavern
on Tuesday riding  a customised 900cc motorbike,   that'll be Bex Marshall, on
part of her "Uneasy Rider" tour.

Bex  is an explosion of acoustic/rock/blues with a twist of country,
possessing guitar skills that have been likened to Stevie Ray Vaughan, and is greatly
respected  on the London circuit, with a  following which grows by the day.

Bex appeared at  The Finsbury Park Fleadh at  this year, supporting
Counting Crows, John Prine and Bob Dylan. Bex has also recently supported The
Yardbirds, Dr. Feelgood   and Tony Joe White at top London club,  The Borderline. She
also appeared with The  Country Joe Band at Ryde as part of this year's Isle
